Water Pump
The water pump circulates coolant through the engine, radiator, and heater core.
What it does
Keeps coolant moving so heat can leave the engine.
Failure signs
- Overheating
- Coolant leak near pulley area
- Whining or grinding noise
- Poor heater output
- Steam under hood
Maintenance notes
- Inspect leaks around the weep hole.
- Replace related belt or timing components when required.
- Do not run an overheating engine to test it longer.
