Sway Bar Links

Sway bar links connect the stabilizer bar to the suspension.

What it does

Help control body roll and transfer suspension forces during bumps and turns.

Failure signs

  • Clunking over bumps
  • Rattle from suspension
  • Loose handling
  • Noise on one side
  • Body roll feels worse

Maintenance notes

  • Inspect links and bushings when clunks appear over small bumps.
  • Do not confuse sway bar noise with strut or control arm noise without inspection.
  • Replace damaged links in pairs when wear is similar.
