Radiator
The radiator releases engine heat from coolant into outside air.
What it does
Removes heat as coolant passes through thin tubes and fins at the front of the vehicle.
Failure signs
- Overheating
- Coolant leak at front of car
- Steam from grille area
- Coolant smell
- Rusty or damaged fins
Maintenance notes
- Keep fins clear of debris.
- Use the correct coolant mix.
- Pressure test suspected leaks rather than repeatedly topping up.
