Mass Airflow Sensor
The mass airflow sensor measures how much air enters the engine.
What it does
Helps the engine computer calculate fuel delivery.
Failure signs
- Hesitation
- Rough idle
- Poor fuel economy
- Lean or rich codes
- Stalling after start
Maintenance notes
- Inspect intake boots for cracks before replacing the sensor.
- Use MAF-safe cleaner only when cleaning is appropriate.
- Check air filter condition and installation.
