CV Axles
CV axles transfer power to the wheels while allowing steering and suspension movement.
What it does
Deliver rotating torque through flexible constant-velocity joints.
Failure signs
- Clicking when turning
- Vibration under acceleration
- Grease around inner wheel
- Clunk on acceleration
- Torn CV boot
Maintenance notes
- Inspect torn boots before joint damage becomes severe.
- Do not confuse CV vibration with tire imbalance.
- Use correct axle nut torque after service.
